False
understanding concerning the rapture does
matter:
Exodus 34:26(b) "Thou shalt
not seethe a kid in his mother's milk."
Some say their tribulation beliefs
do not matter because they will occupy until the Lord comes. That
is
not true. Works not based upon expectation will not be
whole-hearted.
If a person has faith in a pre-tribulation rapture (belief of being
caught-up with the Lord prior to the “great tribulation” foretold in
scripture) then that person will have works based upon that belief (or
lack there of).
Who is
going to build for the future
when they believe there
is no present? If a person believes the Lord is about to return
this year,
will they invest themselves as they should in the future church
leaders, the
children? Buildings are not built for a year or two, they
normally are
built to last for dozens of years. That
takes sacrifice and vision. Leaders
running around like dogs with their tails between their legs will not
execute the
needed sacrifice and vision.
In
the example of Jesus the Messiah, we are to humbly serve each
other. If we have not, lets get out of your comfort zone, at
minimum for the sake of
serving the new generation, and find out the truth concerning the
"rapture". It is not good to "eat your young". If you
don't know the truth, learn the truth (See Romans 14:23). Its
been time to get dirty.
Ecclesiastes 4:5 The fool
foldeth his hands together, and eateth his own flesh.
John 13:14-15 If I then, your Lord
and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's
feet. For I have given
you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.
Leaders,
start praying that the Lord
gives you proper
understanding about the end times so the next generation(s) may prosper
as the
Lord intends. (Don’t evade this issue). If you were called,
abide in your calling. Separate the fact from the fiction.
(Yes, you must to be full of the Holy Spirit so
you can properly hear His voice and properly discern. [You will
speak in other tongues as the Lord gives articulation]).
2nd Peter 3:15-17
(Weymouth New Testament) And always regard the patient forbearance of
our Lord as salvation, as our dear brother Paul also has written to you
in virtue of the wisdom granted to him. That is what he says in
all his letters, when speaking in them of these things. In those
letters there are some statements hard to understand, which ill-taught
and unprincipled people pervert, just as they do the rest of the
Scriptures, to their own ruin. You, therefore, dear friends,
having been warned beforehand, must
continually be on your guard so as
not to be led astray by the false teaching of immoral men nor fall from
your own stedfastness.
A false teaching of escapism is
another gospel. Teaching that Hebrew Judaism practisers have
another chance for salvation after Jesus returns is another gospel /
another hope.
1st Thessalonians
4:16-17 (Weymouth New Testament) For the Lord
Himself will come down from Heaven with a
loud word of command, and with an archangel's voice and the trumpet of
God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Afterwards we
who are alive and are still on earth will be caught up in their company
amid clouds to meet the Lord in the air.
1st
Thessalonians 5:2 (Weymouth New Testament) For you yourselves
know perfectly well that the day of the
Lord comes like a thief in the night.
2nd Peter 3:10-12 (Weymouth New
Testament) The day of the
Lord will come like a thief--it will be a day on which the heavens will
pass away
with a rushing noise, the elements be destroyed in the fierce heat, and
the earth and all the works of man be utterly burnt up.
Since all
these things are thus pre-destined to dissolution, what sort of men
ought you to be found to be in all holy living and godly conduct,
eagerly looking forward to the coming of the day of God, by reason of
which the heavens, all ablaze, will be destroyed, and the elements will
melt in the fierce heat?
If leaders ignorantly teach and
convince the church to wait for a "rapture" that is suppose to come
before the great tribulation, but instead the great tribulation comes
first (as foretold in Matthew 24:29-30), and the church has not learned
to rest on the Lord as they should have, they likely will be easy prey
for the adversary, and he would be able to wear them out (since they
have decided to remain carnal-minded).
Daniel
7:25(a) And he shall
speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out
the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws:
Some ignorant teachers have taught that the Spirit will be removed
[based on II Thessalonians
2:7-8], and therefore the
church will be removed while things continue for years (seven years of
tribulation). My bible teaches that the Lord (the Spirit) will be
with us "even unto the end of the world". The Spirit will be here
on earth, even on the last day. (The earth is the Lords).
Another problem with this theory is often the same teachers teach that
then [natural] Israel will have a second chance [to receive the Spirit
that has
supposedly been removed] (See Revelation 7:14). God will have His
Spirit available for
His firstborn, Israel, even to the end of the age.
Matthew
28:20
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:
and, lo, I am with you
always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
2 Thessalonians 2:7-8 For
the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will
let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed,
whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall
destroy with the brightness of his coming:
Exodus
4:21-23 And the LORD said unto Moses, When thou goest to return into
Egypt, see that thou do all those wonders before Pharaoh, which I have
put in thine hand: but I will harden his heart, that he shall not let
the people go. And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the
LORD, Israel is my son, even
my firstborn: And I say unto thee, Let my son go, that he
may serve me: and if thou refuse to let him go, behold, I will slay thy
son, even thy firstborn.
Years ago, a
year ago, and the present time, prophets, false prophets and prophet
want-a-be’s have all but said the Lord is going to return in the clouds
to call the elect home within a matter of a few months. Since
they are “prophetically” speaking, they need to be held accountable for
their false words.
It is time to stop purchasing materials year, after year, from the
modern day “Millerites” advocating “rapture” within months. It is
time to remind them that their words spoken just a few years ago of how
the Lord was sure to return by that year’s end has not come to
pass. It is time to pay heed to the true prophecy of the Lord, as
spoken by His servants, as well as in His written Word He has given us
(when it is properly discerned).
